As the offseason comes to a close, the anticipation for the 2025 season is mounting. Drivers are gearing up for what promises to be another thrilling year of racing in the Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modifieds (CVM) series. Among the rookie drivers, Jordan Ramsbottom is poised to make a splash in his first full season. We caught up with him to discuss his goals, the upcoming season, and what he’s looking forward to most.

What are your plans heading into the 2025 season?
“My main plan is to learn as much as possible and continue developing as a driver,” says Ramsbottom. “This season is all about growth, honing my skills, and being as competitive as possible.”
What are your goals for this season?
Ramsbottom’s goals are clear: “I’m aiming for Rookie of the Year in CVM and hope to score a few podium finishes along the way,” he shares. With a focused mindset, Ramsbottom is determined to make his mark in his debut season and earn recognition among the series' top drivers.

What event are you most looking forward to this year?
“There’s one race I’m really excited about—the APC race,” Ramsbottom admits. “Being able to race in front of a big crowd is something I’m really looking forward to. The energy from the fans is always electrifying, and it’ll be an incredible experience to be part of that.”
Who is your toughest competitor heading into the 2025 season?
Ramsbottom recognizes that this year’s competition will be fierce, especially from fellow rookies. “I think my toughest competitors will be my fellow rookie drivers, Cam Thomson and my best friend, Ty Riopelle,” he says. “We all push each other to be better, and I’m expecting some great battles on the track.”

If you’re not travelling, what track are you most looking forward to racing at?
Though many drivers in the CVM series will be traveling to various tracks, Ramsbottom is sticking close to home. “I’m staying right at my home track, Flamboro Speedway,” he shares. “I know the track inside and out, and I’m excited to race there and show what I can do.”
Is there anything from the 2024 season you’re carrying into 2025?
Ramsbottom reflects on the drive that fueled him last year, which will be just as important in 2025. “From 2024, I’m bringing my drive to be competitive into this season. I’ve learned a lot, and I’m ready to put that knowledge into action this year.”

2025 Sponsors and Special Thanks
Ramsbottom also took a moment to express his gratitude toward his supporters. “I’d like to thank Lisa Barton for the opportunity, Carlisle Family Chiropractic, Oakville Trailers, B Squared Decals, Cottage Country, and my Uncle Larry Jackson for all his coaching and support throughout my journey,” he says. “Without these amazing people and companies, this wouldn’t be possible.”
As Ramsbottom gets ready to kick off his first full season in the Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modifieds, there’s no doubt that the rookie driver is poised to make an impact. Fans and fellow competitors alike will be keeping a close eye on him as he looks to turn his goals into reality.
