On today's Wilds Printing A Look Ahead we sat down with the "Wildman" Cody Wilds. Cody is entering his second season in the very competitive Super Stock division at Delaware Speedway. In 2023, Cody moved to the Super Stock division and his sole goal for the season was to learn. Learning has always been why Cody has been successful in anything he gets behind the wheel of. With support in his corner from the Chapman's and McNichol's, Cody has learned and taken in the knowledge to be competitive.
With a renewed sense of excitement heading into the season after injury sidelined Cody near the end of his 2023 season. Cody has since recovered fully and is ready to hit the track running. The team purchased the car from Coltin Everingham from Autumn Colours Classic at the end of the season. Cody and his dad have been busy preparing the car to compete in 2024. "We're going out there confident and we're looking to make it to the front." Says Wilds.
With drivers having a long gruelling season sometimes the drivers circle one date on the calendar that they are looking forward to and Cody has when the NASCAR Canada Series rolls through Delaware Speedway on August 17th. Though Cody won't be racing with the big boys of NASCAR he will be racing on the Friday night leading into the big race. This season Cody will be racing each week at Delaware Speedway in the Super Stock Division. Which you will be able to catch LIVE on Rogers TV each Friday night throughout the summer.
The competition at Delaware Speedway is one of the the toughest in the province and it shows with consistent car counts in the 20's each week and tight points battle from start to finish. We asked Cody about the competition and this is what he had to say. " The competition is amazing. I'm super excited to race with all of them again. It's definitely going to be tough going out and racing with the best of the best."
