Today on Wilds Printing A Look Ahead we sat down with Kassy Howard to look ahead at what her plan is for 2024. Kassy was the recipient of our collaboration with the Stickers N' Scuffs Podcast with Cam K and Graydon Bunn. Kassy has been racing in the bone stock class at Delaware Speedway over the last 7 year. After finishing 15th in points last season (out of 50+ drivers) at Delaware Speedway the London, Ontario native is looking to improve on her points standing and get back into the top 10 in points. The biggest changes for the team is that they have branched off and have changed names to KPH Motorsports for the 2024 season bringing along sister Jessy to compete full time at Delaware Speedway. The offseason has been busy for the team as they have been busy preparing two bone stocks as well as building a V8 stock car for Jessy to compete in the V8 Stock Car division at Delaware Speedway with her first start scheduled for later in the season.
With big changes for the team this upcoming season it lends it self to chat about what the goals and plans are the upcoming season. This season Kassy will be competing full time in the Bone Stock division at Delaware Speedway. "Planning on having more consecutive top 15 finishes and making every feature in on Friday nights without having to run a last chance qualifier." Says Kassy. It is always good to have goals because as a driver or any athlete you want to work towards a goal no matter what. This season might look a little different for the driver of the 59 as Kassy will look to travel the province a bit. "I also plan on actually traveling this season with my
sister so we both can try different tracks and just have fun learning racing together." adds Howard.
After a year which saw Kassy have to battle to get into the feature this season she is looking to punch her ticket into the main event from her heat races. Though the last couple seasons haven't been what she has expected Kassy is looking to rebound and has gotten her confidence back. Kassy said "I am looking to just continue to build my confidence behind the wheel. Not to be scared to make the moves I used to do and be up on the wheel more". "I had a couple seasons where I had some big wrecks and it has taken me up until last season to build my confidence back up to where it was, so I’m just looking forward to build on my skills as a driver and continue to learn." Added Kassy.
