After taking off the 2022 season to crew for her dad as he returned to the driver seat as well as 2023 completing building her car and getting it on track for the last handful of races for the season. It was a huge step for Megan to return to the driver seat after a hard wreck at the end of the 2021 season. With the wreck in the past Megan has been working hard at gaining the confidence since and learning more
from fellow competitors.
Heading into the 2024 season Megan will be racing her newly numbered #97 at Flamboro Speedway this summer. While heading into the new season of course changes are made with the team and that is no different for MRC Racing as the team will have 4 cars racing full time with her father Rick in the #73, Chase in the #3 and Rachel in the #37. It will take some getting use to for Megan as she has only known the #73 since she started racing, "It's going to be a curveball to start with, that is for sure." Says Megan.
Looking ahead at the upcoming season Megan is preparing for the busiest schedule as this year at Flamboro Speedway the pure stocks will be running 21 nights, with that in mind Megan is looking forward the ever popular Meet the Drivers Night. "I love engaging with the fans and having the opportunity to hangout with everyone." Says Megan. "I'm also looking forward to run my first Frostoberfest this year."
For the upcoming season Megan will be heading into the season with an open and positive mindset. "I'd like to continue to learn and find comfort back behind the wheel of my car." With returning full-time Megan is looking to enjoy every weekend and learn from the difficult ones. Megan told JoMo Media, "By the end of 2024, I hope to find myself running among the pack and being competitive and respectful."
