Today's Wilds Printing A Look Ahead we sat down with Roland Goodfellow to talk about his jump from mini stocks to the pro late model division and what we can expect from him in his rookie season. Roland would get started in 2021 racing a bone stock before jumping into a mini stock for the 2022-23 season. This off season Roland would go and purchase a pro late model and is looking to compete for Rookie Of the Year honours in the pro late models.
The biggest change for the mini stock racer is switching from 4 to 8 cylinders as Roland gears up for his first season behind the wheel of his pro late model. The goal for Roland is to learn each week and to be better than the week before. "I just want to be clean and consistent and keep pace with the leaders." Adds Roland. With not seeing much action on track last season when Roland would hit the track he would be competitive and in the hunt for feature wins.
The 25 year old driver from Kitchener, Ontario is looking to enjoy his time in the pro late model and is excited for the challenge to advance his racing career racing against some of the toughest competitors in Ontario. Roland is looking forward to making the most of the season and one of his biggest goals is to make the first race of the year and make the last race of the season.
