Cillian Collins Ready for an Exciting 2025 Jr. Micro Sprint Season at Grand Bend Speedway

As the 2025 race season quickly approaches, young driver Cillian Collins is gearing up for his second season in the Jr. Micro Sprint series at Grand Bend Speedway. After a rookie year filled with valuable lessons, Collins is setting his sights on new goals and exciting challenges for the upcoming season.

Plans for 2025 Season

Heading into 2025, Cillian's primary focus will be racing full-time at Grand Bend Speedway. However, he remains open to the possibility of competing in invitational events at other tracks. "Our plan for 2025 is to run full-time at Grand Bend Speedway, but we’re also open to racing at other tracks if the opportunity arises," Collins shared.

Goals for the Season

Collins is determined to improve on his performance from the previous year. "My goals heading into this season are to keep learning, aim for a podium finish, and finish better in points than I did last year," he explained.

Looking Forward to the First Race

The excitement and nerves that come with the first race of the season are palpable for Collins. "I’m nervous, but I’m looking forward to every opportunity to drive fast," he said with enthusiasm. The first race of the season will be a significant moment as he kicks off his sophomore year in the sport.

Toughest Competitor of 2025

There are many great racers I compete with, but the toughest competitor is myself. No matter how well I perform, I always strive to improve and do better next time. I'm constantly challenging myself to reach new heights.

Excited to Try New Tracks

While the Jr. Micro Sprint series isn't a traveling one, Collins has his eye on a few other tracks this season. "I’d love to race at Full Throttle and Sunset Speedway, and I’m also curious about trying dirt racing at Chestermans and Route 1," he mentioned, showcasing his eagerness to broaden his experience in the sport.

Lessons from 2024

Reflecting on his rookie season, Collins is ready to take the lessons he learned into 2025. "Last year was a huge learning experience. I can narrow it down to three key things: consistency, never stop learning, and most importantly, have fun," he emphasized. Those lessons will surely serve him well as he continues his journey in the Jr. Micro Sprint series.
