Now that the holiday season is behind us it's time to get back to racing. The Ignite Racing League returned this week for their first races of 2023. The JP Alfonso GT3 series and the JoMo Media Street Stocks Series returned to action following the break.
First race of the week was the JP Alfonso GT3 series at Road Atlanta. Last time out it was JP Alfonso taking home the victory. The length for this race would be 60 minutes. Giancarlo Schliemann and Nick Sorensen would lead the field to green. Schliemann would take the lead from the start. Sorensen would settle into second. Juan Salazsar and JP Alfonso had good battles for third and fourth. During pitstops around the 20 minute mark of the race Philip Forrester would move into third overtaking Salazar and Alfonso. When the time clicked zero it was Giancarlo Schliemann cruising home to the win. Nick Sorensen would finish second and Juan Salazar would round out the podium.

The final race of the week as the JoMo Media Street Stock Series. This week race took to Myrtle Beach Speedway for round number 4 of the winter series. When the 50 laps were complete it was Dustyn Mombourquette grabbing his first victory of the season. T.J Edwards, Don Yorke, Coltin Everingham and Jordan Howse would round out the top-5. The championship battle is heating up with Coltin Everingham leading the way with 69 points. Second place is Connor James with 58 points. TJ Edwards sitting third with 51 points.
Next race up will be the Stickers N' Scuffs 50 from Lucas Oil Raceway on January 18th.
