As the 2025 season rapidly approaches, Jae Pepin of the Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modifieds driving the #43 Peps Pro Painting Ford 5 Window Coupe is excited to build on his momentum from the previous year. Reflecting on a successful 2024 campaign, Pepin is looking forward to new challenges and is determined to continue improving both in the upcoming season.
Building on Success
After securing his first-ever feature race win in 2024, Pepin’s primary goal for the 2025 season is clear: to continue his upward trajectory. “Building off the success of last season and continuing to improve while having fun doing it” is what drives him heading into this year. His personal benchmark has been set, and he's ready to push forward with even more podium finishes, with the hope of finding the winner’s circle again.

Eyes on the Prize: APC Late Model Event
Among the many races on the calendar, one stands out for Pepin. The APC Late Model event in July holds special meaning. “It was an amazing showing by our series last year with a record number of cars,” he said. Representing Flamboro Speedway and the Canadian Vintage Modifieds (CVMs) at such a prestigious event is something Pepin cherishes. The excitement surrounding this event only fuels his determination to perform at his best.
The Toughest Competitor: Himself
Pepin acknowledges that his biggest competition isn't on the racetrack but within himself. I've always been my toughest competitor," he shared. The drive to push himself, continue learning, and strive for self-improvement is always at the forefront of his racing philosophy. "Doing your best and having fun with all the competitors on track is what it's all about," he added, highlighting the camaraderie that makes racing such a rewarding experience.

Lessons from 2024
Looking back, Pepin feels that 2024 was a year full of learning and growth. One lesson that stands out is the importance of not being afraid to make adjustments to the car. “I learned a lot last year, and it translated to some success,” he said. Pepin plans to carry that experience into 2025, keeping an open mind when it comes to car handling and performance adjustments.
A Heartfelt Thanks to Sponsors and Supporters
The success Pepin has enjoyed wouldn't be possible without the support of his sponsors, family, and friends. “A special thank you to Grindstone Landscaping and Jay Linde for sponsoring the series,” Pepin said. “It’s a privilege to share the track with all our great drivers and to be part of such a historic race series.”
