Revved Up for 2025: Sera Giannone's Journey Ahead

As the 2025 race season quickly approaches, drivers across the region are gearing up for another year of competition. For Sera Giannone, the offseason is nearly behind her, and she’s excited to get back on track at Sunset Speedway. We sat down with Sera to talk about her plans, goals, and what fans can expect from her this year.

What are your plans heading into the 2025 season?

"I’m really focused on having as much fun as possible and soaking in all the knowledge I can from my fellow racers. It’s all about learning, improving, and enjoying every moment," said Giannone, reflecting on the upcoming season.

What are your goals heading into this season?

"My biggest goal is to not be hard on myself. I’ve got to remember that it’s all about getting as much seat time as I can and just having fun with it," she explained. "Another goal I have is to use my platform to talk about mental health and addiction, and to try and normalize the stigma around those topics."

Which event are you most looking forward to this year?

Giannone is particularly excited about her first race of the season, which coincidentally happens to be a fan appreciation night. "I’m looking forward to that first night back on the track—it’s always such a fun night with the fans."

Who is your toughest competitor heading into this season?

When asked who her toughest competitor is, Giannone didn’t hesitate: "Myself. I tend to be hard on myself and sometimes don’t give myself enough credit. This season, I’m really working on not letting my own doubts get in the way of my potential."

If traveling, which track are you most looking forward to this year?

Giannone is particularly excited about heading to Peterborough Speedway. "I’ve heard so many good things about it, and I can’t wait to experience it for myself this season."

What lessons from 2024 are you taking into 2025?

"I’ve learned to stop focusing on the ‘what-ifs.’ You won’t know until you get out there and try, so I’m not letting those ‘what if’ thoughts hold me back from something great this season."

2025 Sponsors and Special Thanks

Sera Giannone expressed her gratitude to the people and companies who help make her racing possible: "I have to start off by thanking Nick Tooley for all the countless hours he spent getting my car ready. Without him, none of this would be possible. I also want to thank Jomo Media for all the time and effort they put into supporting each of us drivers. Thanks to Stickers and Scuffs for letting me be a part of their amazing community, and to Lift the Visor for raising awareness around mental health in the sport."

She continued, "Lastly, I’d like to thank my sponsors for their continued support: Copeland Property Maintenance, Rustoleum, 360 Maintenance and Repairs, Steve's Custom Graphics, and Tooley Welding and Fabrication."

As the 2025 race season kicks off, fans can expect Sera Giannone to be an exciting and inspiring presence on the track. With a passion for racing and a commitment to mental health advocacy, she’s ready to take on the challenges and make the most of the year ahead.
