WE'RE BACK!!!!!
Did you miss us? We missed you tuning into the True North Racing Podcast presented by Vision 20 Studios. This week on the show Jon and Megan are back to talk about what they have been up to since our last episode in September as well as get you in the Christmas spirit. This year instead of us telling you about our Christmas traditions or favourite holiday experiences we invited some friends to join us.
The first one to join us drove the #44 Burger Barn car in the Canadian Vintage Modifieds, Connor Ross stops by to tell us what he has been up to since the end of the 2022 season with the CVM. Connor has been helping Turner Racing in the Sprint Car Division at Ohsweken Speedway as well as travelling to different tracks with the team. Connor announced on the program that his plans for 2024 is to get back behind the wheel of a race car but this time it will be a 602 Crate Sprint Car at Ohsweken Speedway. In 2023, Connor did get behind the wheel of a Sprint Car during Ohsweken Speedways Test and Tune the track hosts leading up to the Sprint Car Nationals held on the grounds of the Six Nations of the Grand River. Not only did he complete his test and tune Connor also got two chances to race in a couple of year end races to gear up for 2024.
Next up we were joined by rookie driver in the Crate Sprint Car division at Ohsweken Speedway. Cam talked about how his first season went with the sprint car as well as the gremlins he would face in his pure stock. Recently Cam raffled off his pure stock which will be heading off to Lisa Barton and we discuss the timing of it and what his plans are for 2024. Though there are details that Cam can not go into detail at this time explains he's not done racing on the asphalt but will release details closer to the start of the 2024 season.
Our third and final guest of our Christmas Special went to Jordan Fidler. Jordan, who hasn't raced much in 2023 joined us to talk about why he stepped away from the drivers seat and brought in Jordan Wilms to wheel the 22F at Flamboro Speedway. Throughout the summer Jordan was working with the Hogs Gone Wild BBQ truck. Throughout the season the 22F would get to victory lane on a pair of occasions and have a very strong season. Jordan would explain what his plans for Flat Broke Racing is for 2024. Though he couldn't go into detail about a surprise driver he did say that the 22F will be at Flamboro Speedway once again and looks forward to competing for a championship in 2024.
That just about does it for our Christmas Special for 2023. This will be our last episode until February 2024. Thank you to everyone who has joined us this year. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for tuning in and checking out us.
